Let the summer holidays begin!

Soooo, the exams are finally over and my summer holidays have begun. I have realized how bad I have been in updating my blog, mainly due to the lack of time as a result of the final year study craze, so more regular blog entries are definitely on my summer to-do list.

I only finished my exams in less than 2 weeks ago but I already managed to spend an amazing week in Paris with my lovely boyfriend and a great weekend of shopping, drinking and partying in London with my friend Jessica.

My plans for summer are huge: internship with Ogilvy PR, surfing in France, graduation, work experience in China...I am scared and excited at the same time. Now, I have four days to pack up all my things and say good-bye to my Birmingham uni life and friends...it is sad on one hand but I am definitely ready to move on and experience living in London.

Summer, bring it on!

Christmas Holidays

I am back in Birmingham from an amazing Christmas holidays at home. I've managed to do so much - see most of my friends, see all my parents :), do some zumba, yoga and climbing!, eat loads of home-cooked food and drink loads of mulled wine...I also got some lovely Christmas presents including new ski.

As usual, we departed for Switzerland on the 25th skiing and snowboarding. We were really lucky about the weather, it was sunny and warm most of the time. The New Years party was not very exciting, I just celebrated with my family and our friends in our cottage but I had a lovely time.

My holidays ended with a little accident typical for my family - my dad has eaten my sister's hair colour  thinking it was a chocolate...and my sister is a proper red-head now since the hair colour got a slightly different shade than she imagined...I really like the shade though.

Coming back in my Birmingham home was harsh but I was pleased to find the house really clean and to find a little Christmas present from my housemate Ren waiting for me :) Let the study begin tomorrow!

Christmas time in Birmingham

Even though I did not have as much free pre-Christmas time as other years, I did manage to get the best out of the Christmas stuff Birmingham has to offer. Namely, German market, Cinderella ballet, parties and Christmas food. Big thanks to my friend Val who came to visit from London for two days and who managed to pull me out of my temporary stressed-out mood and put me in a true Christmas vibe :) Now I am back home and ready for Christmas preparations (tree decorating, sweets baking, Christmas shopping...), spending time with my family and visiting my beloved Prague.

3 days in London

I spent past 3 days in London with my lovely parents and sister doing some Christmas shopping, eating out and sitting in cafés...pure bliss!
Every time I go to London, I discover new places and I fall in love with the city even more. This time was no exception. Below are a few Instagram moments form the weekend.
Now back to dissertation writing and other boring realities of everyday life. Let's hope the Hotel du Chocolat chocolates and Whittard of Chelsea teas brought from London will get me through!
